Lime Wood Clay

About: Decades of Growth
A renaissance man by passion of being challenged, Jesse enjoys working with his hands as much as a good mental exercise to get the creativity flowing. He loves the power of limits, whether its space, aesthetic, health or budget: a good design challenge is as satisfying in the process as it is in the solution.
My passion is plaster, working with simple materials from the earth to improve our living spaces. Each project can be a work of art that inspires without compromising our air quality or health. Lime and clay plasters have been used for thousands of years because of their inherent beauty, durability and simplicity.

“My philosophy is rooted in the natural. Build to the task at hand, form follows function, and solutions make life easier, healthier and more enjoyable.”
Jesse’s career spans over 25 years in the building industry, with the majority of that time focused on sustainability, green building materials and design. Whether clients are expecting a baby, have health concerns, are chemically sensitive or just want to have a safer, cleaner home, Jesse can help them navigate material choices and design features.
Jesse has spent the last several years consulting for home-owners and builders on how to create a healthier and safer living space for the people in the home. Prior to that he worked with industry pioneering companies and manufacturers to help bring safer and more sustainable materials to market. To keep his passion for working with his hands going, he designs and builds furniture and loves working with natural plasters and earth ground pigments to create beautiful architectural finishes.

I’m a green building materials expert with 20 years in the industry and I am passionate about creating healthy, nurturing places for people to live their lives. I work with professional and residential clients to ensure the places they inhabit are contributing to their overall health and well-being. I was a WELL accredited professional and am interested in improving building systems, materials, and infrastructure to improve human quality of life using the built environment as a fulcrum.
I started consulting following the end of a start-up company that was trying to disrupt the building materials and residential remodel market. Former clients of that company sought me out to guide them thru healthy material selection. Some for their health, and others for the health of their children, regardless it's an amazing feeling to help someone create safety and comfort in their own home.

Today I work with both home builders and home owners, but all to the same end. Healthier Homes!
